About Mintifi Global

Who we are

Mintifi Global Finance (IFSC) Private Limited is a finance company unit set up in GIFT SEZ, Gandhinagar, Gujarat — India’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). It operates in USD as its functional currency and transacts cross-border, financing trade between Indian exporters and their overseas buyers.

What we do

The company purchases and discounts export trade receivables. In practice: an Indian exporter ships goods or delivers services to an overseas buyer and issues an invoice payable on terms typically ranging from 60 to 120 days. Rather than wait out that period, the exporter sells the invoice to Mintifi Global for an upfront cash advance — up to 85% of the invoice value on eligible invoices, confirmed after review — with the remaining balance, less charges, released once the overseas buyer pays.

The credit risk being priced and managed is the overseas buyer’s — their ability and willingness to pay the invoice on maturity — not the exporter’s general creditworthiness. On invoices and buyers that meet eligibility criteria, this risk can be taken on a non-recourse basis, meaning the exporter is not required to refund the advance if the buyer defaults for credit reasons; where used, a credit insurer can indemnify a portion of that risk, subject to the insurer’s own policy terms. Non-recourse and credit insurance are structural options on eligible deals, not a feature of every invoice, and neither eliminates buyer-credit risk entirely — see the FAQ for how recourse, non-recourse and credit insurance actually work.

Regulatory status

Mintifi Global Finance (IFSC) Private Limited is an IFSCA-registered Finance Company, operating under its Certificate of Registration (CoR) issued by the International Financial Services Centres Authority, and conducts factoring and forfaiting of receivables within the scope of that registration.

Why GIFT City IFSC

GIFT City IFSC exists to let financial activity between an Indian entity and the rest of the world happen in foreign currency, under a dedicated regulator (IFSCA), from a location within India. For export finance specifically, that removes the currency mismatch that a rupee-denominated lender would introduce against a USD (or other foreign-currency) export invoice, and it puts the financing relationship inside a regulated, India-based structure rather than an offshore or unregulated one.

Governance posture

The company operates under a board and committee structure appropriate to an IFSCA-regulated finance company, with defined risk and credit governance, an appointed grievance officer for exporter and stakeholder complaints, and a data protection posture aligned to applicable law. Full detail is published separately — see Governance & Disclosures.

Who we work with

Indian manufacturers, merchant exporters and services exporters who ship or deliver to overseas buyers on open-account or documentary-credit terms, and who want the cash tied up in those invoices released before the buyer’s payment date rather than after it.
